These day trips are for enthusiasts of vintage boats, machinery and generally all things old! Your skipper is very knowledgeable and will keep you informed about the boat, the canals and local area.

Below are the day trip options and a taste of what each one involves but please ring to discuss details as we can be reasonably flexible with the itinerary.

4 Hour Trip 11am – 3pm 
Price: £250

Whilton – Weedon

Either bring a picnic, which you can stop for or have while we're going along or you can book a brunch/lunch at Whilton Café or Granny’s Café (subject to availability), we will give you all the details when you book. This is a cruise between Whilton and Weedon and doesn’t take you through any locks, but we can stop for you to have a look and a walk round the locks as part of your trip.

6 Hour Trip 12pm – 6pm
Price £300

Whilton – Weedon with a visit to The Depot

This trip you will cruise through Northamptonshire countryside with either a stop at a local pub for lunch, details to be provided on booking, or you can bring a picnic. The Royal Ordnance Depot is a treat, with a visitors’ centre, artisan workspaces and studios in the historic barracks buildings, a short walk from the canal through the pretty village of Weedon Bec.

8 Hour Trip 11am – 7pm
Price £350

Whilton – Weedon Lock Experience

Lock Trip, a trip that includes the locks and is only recommended for the energetic, enthusiastic boaters and is available to groups who can confirm that they are able to help with the locks and be hands on for the day. These trips need to be alcohol free as you will be working a total of 14 locks and may well be sharing the locks with other boats and boaters during a very busy time of the year. You can self-cater, eat on board or picnic or book a pub lunch or cafe, details provided when booking.

Countryside cruise either bring a picnic/buffet or we will deliver hot Fish and Chips along the way (details on booking as the cruise price does not include the Fish and Chips)

Of all our boats, William is best suited for the more lively celebration of a special occasion!

1 Night Skippered Trip

A Day and Night Afloat – for up to 8 people – 24 Hours - 11am to 11am.
Price £475
This trip is not suitable for dogs.

This is the same as the 8 hour day trip, the difference being you don’t have to go home at the end of it!

Back at our base we have a meadow where you can moor for the night, have a BBQ, perhaps a kick around the field. We have a flock of Shetland sheep who are very friendly. You can either cater on board, BBQ, or it’s a half an hour walk for a pub meal, Fish and Chips/takeaway option, all details provided on booking.

Your skipper won’t be on board overnight, but we are nearby if you need anything.

1 Night Trip to Stoke Bruerne and return – for up to 8 people – 11am day of arrival to 3pm the following day.

Your boat trip begins at 11am cruising through the Northamptonshire countryside, passing through the spectacular Blisworth Tunnel, arriving in Stoke Bruerne, a delightful village with the canal at its heart. There is a good selection of pubs and restaurants, and the locks are a tidy example of a Grand Union lock flight. We would stay overnight here and return to base the next day for 3pm.
